In close cooperation with Holstebro Municipality and The Danish Design Centre, DESIGN CONCERN contributed to solve one of the big welfare challenges: To ensure that senior citizens get nutrient-rich and appetizing food delivered from the local authority when they are no longer able to cook themselves. The challenge was to reduce time from ordering to delivery and to improve the user experience. DESIGN CONCERNs design-driven innovation process involved senior citizens, drivers, kitchen staff and management teams, programmers and designers. The process featured interviews, user observations, workshops, design and testing of tablet interfaces, programming and final user tests. The result was a user-friendly tablet based ordering system where drivers can easily obtain and deliver orders for senior citizens in the municipality. The intuitive user interface ensures easy registration of online orders, minimize incorrect orders, and result in pleased employees and happy senior citizens. Learn more
