The Chinese think tank SNPA visited Copenhagen on April 1-2, 2019, to get inspiration within digital healthcare and prevention.

The visit started with an introduction to the Danish healthcare system with a focus on the digital transformation. The delegates also learned more about the investment opportunities in Greater Copenhagen and the health data “Goldmine” that exists in Denmark introduced by Copenhagen Capacity. Afterwards, the company Intelligent Systems talked about innovation in hospital construction and within logistics solutions. Rounding off the first day in Copenhagen, the delegates visited LEO Innovation Lab for a demonstration of an example of digitalization in healthcare by building digital solutions that address the challenges of the modern patient journey.

The second day started by visiting the company Wavecare where the Chinese delegation got the opportunity to hear more about ambient applications in maternity and psychiatric care. Hereafter, the delegates visited Rigshospitalet, Denmark’s leading hospital for patients needing highly specialized treatment, to hear more about the innovative project called "Chemo at Home". The Clinic of Hematology has implemented a patient-centered concept of high-intensity home treatment of leukemia patients without the presence of healthcare staff. The trip to Denmark ended in Bagsværd where the delegation was introduced to the project called “Cities Changing Diabetes” – actions against urban diabetes presented by Novo Nordisk.
