French Ambassador explores Danish hospital innovation

On September 25, 2019, the French Ambassador to Denmark, Caroline Ferrari, visited Odense to get insight into innovative hospital solutions.

The visit started with an interview with the Mayor of Odense Municipality, Peter Rahbæk Juel, with focus on rehabilitation and citizen involvement in the local social policy.

Afterwards, the Ambassador visited the Emergency Department at Odense University Hospital, where she learned about new technologies and the efficient services at the hospitals. Next, she visited Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark and got insight into their latest projects.

Rounding off the program was a visit to University of Southern Denmark, where the Ambassador met the principal and got introduced to the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, and the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
