On June 24, 2019, Danish and French healthcare professionals and decision makers shared knowledge end experiences at the healthcare conference at Maison du Danemark in Paris, France. The conference was inaugurated by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, patron for Healthcare DENMARK.
The program included both informative presentations and round table discussions with the purpose to share Danish experiences within the field of healthcare transformation.
Nanna Skovgaard, Head of Department at the Danish Ministry of Health, gave an introduction to the Danish healthcare system highlighting the 2007 structural reform and the construction of new super hospitals.
Peder Jest, Executive Director and CMO at Odense University Hospital, and Anne Smetana, Deputy Director at Healthcare DENMARK, participated in a round table discussion about how to transform the healthcare system to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Furthermore, Nanna Skovgaard also participated in a round table discussion with Palle Mark Christensen, general practitioner from the city of Otterup. They discussed the Danish strategies for using health data and implementation of digital tools for both patients and healthcare professionals.
Cédric Arcos, Healthcare DENMARK Ambassador and Deputy Director of the Ile-de-France Region, rounded off the conference with concluding remarks and perspectives from the overall program.
