The visit started with an introduction to the Danish healthcare system with focus on handling of health data. Hereafter, Leo Innovation Lab presented a concrete example of new innovative ways of using health data when inventing better treatment for patients with skin diseases.
Before lunch, the delegation discussed how to use data in preventing chronic diseases such as diabetes. Examples from Novo Nordisk - Cities Changing Diabetes were highlighted to demonstrate how this is possible.
Rounding off the day, the delegates visited the Danish Health Data Agency to exchange knowledge and get inspiration regarding data integration in the healthcare sector with a special focus on the National Service Platform and the Shared Medication Record.
