Patient empowerment

Icura's sensor-based, user-friendly exercise technology motivates more and better exercise and a high level of activity

Holistic exercise and activity tool

We know that health and a successful treatment is about much more than exercises.

Icura has been working with digitally supported exercise and activity for more than 10 years. We have continuously developed and improved Icura in constructive dialog with physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Today, Icura is a holistic tool focusing on all aspects of rehabilitation.

Home exercise is essential in most rehabilitation programmes.

Motivation for more exercise and activity

However, many find it difficult to maintain motivation and good quality of exercises without a therapist by their side.

Icura stands in as a virtual therapist, measuring home exercises and general activity with body-worn sensors.

Icura sends results to the therapist, who gets a unique basis for providing feedback to the user and for tailoring future treatment to the user's individual level and needs.

Developed in collaboration with physiotherapists

Danish municipalities wanted a permanent solution to the growing problem of resource-intensive treatment programmes.

With a focus on training exercises and clear communication to patients, therapists and Icura’s software engineers and designers developed a program that measures and analyses home exercise with body sensors.

This resulted in Icura, which strengthens and motivates user home exercise and reduces the need to show up for exercise at health clinics.
