November 20, 2018 - November 23, 2018
Join the Danish Prime Minister on a visit to Germany and get the exclusive opportunity to exhibit your company and meet with potential business partners.

Denmark is the exclusive partner country of the first Smart Country Convention taking place in Berlin on November 20-22, 2018. The German organizers of the event have selected Denmark as digital frontrunner nation to inspire Germany on how to utilize digitization to create a strong and sustainable growth economy and an effective and well-managed public sector. On this occasion, the Danish Prime Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, will lead a Danish business delegation and you will have the opportunity to join.

Smart Country Convention will convene 10,000 participants from the public and private sectors to meet under the slogan “Digitize Public Services”. As partner country, Smart Country Denmark will be showcased throughout the convention – in speeches, conferences and workshops as well as in the exhibition area.

The presentation of Smart Country Denmark will be orchestrated around the themes: Future of Work, Sustainable Urban Solutions, and Healthy Living. The sector focus “Healthy Living” is relevant to Danish companies in the field of eHealth, Telemedicine, Medical Devices & Robots, and Welfare Technologies.

The German market is growing and it is also Denmark’s largest export market. Digitization of the German society, and especially of public sector services, are lacking behind the Nordic countries. During the past couple of years, it has become obvious that Germany needs to step up efforts to enter the age of digitization, especially in public services. The new German government is focusing on this challenge and a number of initiatives are under development and implementation to strengthen the level of digitization in the German society. Germany is looking to Denmark for inspiration and our digital solutions as Denmark tops the EU ranking of digitization.
