Opening of the Danish Medicines Agency’s Data Analytics Centre
Today, Monday November 16, 2020, the Danish Medicines Agency’s Data Analytics Centre has officially opened. The opening was broadcasted live from 3-5 PM via YouTube.
The Danish Medicines Agency contributes to developing policies and regulations in the pharmaceutical area, both in Denmark and in dialogue with the EU’s other regulatory authorities. The new center will be using big data analytics to create a new paradigm for how to regulate medicines and medical devices.
Speakers on the opening included Magnus Heunicke, The Danish Minister of Health, Thomas Senderovitz, Director General of the Danish Medicines Agency, Emer Cooke, Executive Director of European Medicines Agency, Claire Bury, Deputy Director-General DG Santé and Nikolai Brun and Peter Arlett, Cochairs of HMA-EMA Steering Group on Big Data.
