Danish architectural company, C.F. Møller, will design Tampere’s new adult psychiatric hospital in collaboration with a Finnish architectural company.

The new adult psychiatric hospital will move to Tampere University Hospital (TAYS) from its old premises at Pitkäniemi Hospital in Nokia. In this context, Danish architectural company, C.F. Møller, has won the assignment of designing the new building together with the Finnish architectural firm Aihio Arkkitehdit.

"To be able to offer our services and to be part of developing the future of psychiatric care in Finland is a great honor. TAYS’ ambition to create healthy, functional and environmentally integrated environments for patients, relatives and staff are well in line with our competence and vision for future care”, says Mårten Leringe, architect, and partner at C.F. Møller, according to a press release.

With great experience in healing architecture and evidence-based design, C.F. Møller creates the framework for healthcare facilities that best meet the needs of the patient, support the opportunity for relatives to be involved and provide optimal working conditions for staff.
