The North Denmark Region has chosen the Danish software developer Systematic as supplier of a new electronic health record system. This means that the entire healthcare system in the North Denmark Region (the regional authority, the hospitals, and the municipalities) will apply systems based on the same technical platform.
”We already have a very good collaboration with the North Denmark Region, where several hospitals already use the Columna Clinical Information System for managing medication and for managing their logistics flow. In addition, several municipalities in northern Denmark use the Systematic Cura citizen record system in their setups for domestic care and for nursing care at home. We really appreciate that we now have the opportunity to expand our collaboration to include the full electronic health record system,” says Michael Holm, CEO at Systematic, according to a press release.
This Systematic IT solution is already in full operation in the Central Denmark Region, and is also currently being implemented in the Region of Southern Denmark. Systematic solutions for the Danish hospital service are distinguished by being developed in close cooperation with the Danish hospital staff, so the IT systems are configured to comply with users’ specific needs and requirements. As hospital facilities run by all three regional authorities become users of the same solution, there is significant potential for synergies and cooperation between healthcare professionals.
The new electronic health record system in the North Denmark Region is expected to be fully implemented and ready for use in the autumn of 2021.
