Press release: HRH The Crown Princess of Denmark inaugurates Nation of Health in Odense
Denmark now has a new visitor center, Nation of Health, which is inaugurated by HRH The Crown Princess of Denmark on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
On October 28, the Crown Princess will inaugurate the new visitor center, Nation of Health, in Odense. The visitor center will form the framework for future international delegation visits with foreign ministers, business leaders and decision-makers, and thereby strengthen the international branding and promotion of Danish products and solutions within the health and welfare area. The inauguration will also be attended by Minister of Trade and Industry Simon Kollerup, Chairman of Danish Regions, Stephanie Lose, Mayor of Odense, Peter Rahbæk Juel and Chairman of the Industrial Foundation, Sten Scheibye.
International decision-makers show great interest in the development of the Danish healthcare system and in the Danish positions of strength within health and welfare. The interest can be seen, among other things, through an increasing demand for Danish products. The new visitor center will contribute to further stimulation of this demand, and thus increase the business community’s competitiveness and pave the way for new export agreements for Danish companies.
It is Healthcare DENMARK and the Industrial Foundation who in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark, UCL, the Region of Southern Denmark, and Odense Municipality have established the national visitor center, Nation of Health, in Forskerparken in Odense.
“We have really looked forward to this day. Finally, we can take the new visitor center into use and show international delegations what Denmark can do in the area of health and welfare. A visit to Nation of Health must be inspiring and motivating for international decision-makers and help to create increased demand for Danish products and solutions - and thus lead to increased export,” says Hans Erik Henriksen, CEO of Healthcare DENMARK, and continues:
“Teleconferencing facilities and equipment for digital events in the visitor center also means that in the current situation, where we do not receive the usual number of international delegation visits due to COVID-19, we can hold virtual delegation visits as well as digital events and meetings.”
The visitor center, which has been established with support from the Industrial Foundation, can be used for both physical and virtual visits and is designed to create a faster and more accurate communication of the strengths and solutions that are relevant to the individual delegation. At the same time, the visitor center makes it possible to engage guests and involve Danish companies’ products and solutions to an even greater degree than before in connection with the delegation visits.
Nation of Health is designed by the architectural firm C.F. Møller in a modern and Scandinavian expression, and the design company Kollision has been responsible for the design of the inner framework of the visitor center.
